Resolution

Microsoft has announced plans to phase out a specific command in the EWS API that is currently used for configuring impersonation. Once deprecated, this command will no longer be available for configuring impersonation using the current method.

The deprecation of the affected EWS API command is scheduled for October 1, 2026. In preparation for this transition, the SCC Development Team is actively incorporating the GRAPH API option into its product roadmap. The implementation of the GRAPH API is already in progress and is expected to be fully integrated before the complete deprecation of the EWS API.

In addition to integrating the GRAPH API, the SCC Development Team is exploring alternative approaches to configure impersonation for the EWS API using modern techniques. While specific timelines for this effort have not yet been established, it remains a priority for the team.
