3458542 - "Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred." raised when accessing Time Sheet Approval Center

Symptom

"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred." message pops up when accessing the Time Sheet Approval Center.

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to Admin Center > Time Sheet Approval Center.
Error message “Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.” appears, blocking data access.

Cause

The Employee Time Sheet object is not secured, field "Secured" is set to No under Security section in object definition.

Resolution

To use Time Sheet Approval Center, it is mandatory for the Employee Time Sheet object to be secured. The 'Secured' field should be set to 'Yes' in the 'Configure Object Definitions' tool.

If the Employee Time Sheet object is not secured, no time sheets should be displayed in the Time Sheet Approval Center. This is the intended design.
However, the current message "Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred." is wrongly displayed. A fix will be delivered in a future release.

After the fix, an empty list of time sheets will be displayed in the Time Sheet Approval Center if the Employee Time Sheet object is not secured, instead of the incorrect error message.

To use the Time Sheet Approval Center correctly, ensure that the Employee Time Sheet object is secured and that the user has the necessary permissions to access employee time sheets.
