3458609 - Tags Filter Cannot Be Updated In The Career Development Plan Competency Browser

Symptom

When opening the competency browser while adding/editing a Development Goal in the latest version of Goal Management, the tags filter is unselectable (grayed out).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Goals/Objectives
  2. Select the Career Development Plan
  3. Add or edit a Development Goal
  4. Open the Competency Browser
  5. Verify that the tags filter cannot be updated

Cause

The following configuration would be present in the Development Plan XML:

<switch for="show-competency-browser" value="off" />  

Resolution

If you wish to by-pass existing competency filters settings configured in your Development Plan XML and want to leverage the tags filters you can use the following configuration;

<switch for="show-competency-browser" value="on" />
