3458659 - Error KM588 issued when changing a profit center in tr. KE52

Symptom

Error KM588 is issued in transaction KE52 if one of the following activities is carried out: 

  • deletion of profit center

  • shortening the validity period of profit center

  • removal of the company code assignment to profit center.

The activity is cancelled, as a CO object is assigned to the profit center directly.
