3458889 - Error - "No summary layout defined for tax return type WHT_PH" - for Philippines Localization, while doing Withholding Tax Return Run.

You have developed a custom solution and mapped it with the Tax Return Type Y00000000 - WHT_PH, this was developed for Philippine Tax localization and you are facing error when trying to do the Withholding Tax Return Run.

Error message: No summary layout defined for tax return type WHT_PH.

Y00000000 refers to Custom Solution ID.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to Withholding Tax return runs sub view.
3. Search for the Run XX.
4. Select the Application log YYY and go to Message Tab. 

Error Message: No summary layout defined for tax return type WHT_PH 

If you check in your Custom Solution, you can see that in Node Group Criteria for Sub Totaling, the Summary Required is marked. Because this you are facing the error.

Hence this is related to Withholding Tax, You have to remove the field by unmarking the the Summary Required in  Node Group Criteria for Sub Totaling.

Once you have removed, then try to do the Withholding Tax Return Run again and you won't see any errors.

As per the localization toolkit document, Summary tax declaration is not supported for Withholding Tax in PDI.
