Symptom
When attempting to send the invitation, the system returns the error:“name.surname@xxxxxxx.com was skipped”.
Cause
This issue can occur for one of the following two reasons. If the first does not apply, proceed with the second.
Cause 1: Insufficient License for Admin Invitation
The inviting user holds an Admin role with a Hub license only and is attempting to invite another user as an Admin.
Admin users must have a Modeler license to invite or manage other Admin users.
Cause 2: Existing Unaccepted Invitation
The user was previously invited to the workspace but did not accept the invitation.
When a pending (unaccepted) invitation already exists, the system blocks reinviting the same user and displays the “skipped” error.
Resolution
Resolution for Cause 1
- Verify that the inviting Admin user has a Modeler license assigned.
- Update the license if required and resend the invitation.
Resolution for Cause 2
Remove the existing open invitation and re-invite the user by following these steps:
- Navigate to Signavio Process Manager (SPM) Explorer
- Click Setup (cogwheel icon on the right-hand side)
- Select Manage Users and Access Rights
- Open the New Users tab
- Under Open Invitations, locate and remove the user listed in the “skipped” error message
- Navigate back to Collaboration Hub
- Go to Settings > User Management
- Select Invites and re-invite the user to the workspace
Important Note
Before clicking Send Invites, ensure the following options are unchecked:
- Do not send invitation email
- Do not send change password email
Leaving either option checked may prevent the user from receiving the invitation email.
