3459518 - Fixed Asset reversal error: Reversal not possible because fixed asset XX-Y is retired

You are trying to reverse a migrated fixed asset, however, the below error occurs:

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Fixed Assets Work Center > Fixed assets view
2. Search for the Fixed Asset ID XX-Y
3. Click Edit > Migration
4. Click Reversal Migration
5. Do you really want to reverse migration postings? Master data changes are also saved.
   Click Yes
6. Error
   Reversal not possible because fixed asset XX-Y is retired
   Journal entry voucher cannot be posted
   Journal entry voucher ABCD cannot be reversed
   Save failed

The Fixed Asset ID is retired and the Deactivation Date and Last Retirement Date fields are active.

1. Go to Fixed Assets Work Center > Fixed assets view
2. Search for the Fixed Asset ID XX-Y
3. Click Edit > Master Data 
4. Go to Life Cycle Data tab
5. Select the set of book and remove the Last Retirement date and Deactivation date
6. Save
7. The fixed asset should return to Capitalized status
8. Try to reverse the fixed asset again
