3459646 - Search function in story filter could not work as expected when the dimension contains thousands of members in a live BW Optimized Story in SAP Analytics Cloud

• Create a story based on live data connection to BW/4HANA system and enable the Optimized Design Experience mode for this story
• Create a story filter based on the dimension containing thousands of members and try searching dimension members in this story filter
• Make sure the Display Option of these dimension members in story filter has been chosen as "Description" or "Description and ID"
• Observe that no search result would appear in this story filter

SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.2.18

1. Log on to SAC
2. Create a story based on the live data connection to BW/4HANA system and enable the Optimized Design Experience mode for this story
3. Add a story filter based on a dimension containing thousands of members
4. Make sure the Display Option of these dimension members in story filter has been chosen as "Description" or "Description and ID"
5. Click on the story filter to open the dimension list and try searching any dimension member in this story filter
   => Observe that no search result would return and no dimension member could be searched out in this story filter

This is caused by the outdated BW/4HANA system version

Update SAP BW/4HANA system to at least SAP BW/4HANA 2.0 SP0 (for non-hierarchical dimensions) and at least SAP BW/4HANA 2.0 SP4 (for hierarchical dimensions) as per SAP Note 2715030
