3460854 - Default Value With More Than 80 Characters is Truncated

You have created an Extension Field in a particular screen and maintained more then 80 characters in the Default Value. You noticed that a new document is created, the Default Value of this Extension Field is truncated, it shows only until 80 characters.

Current meta model for Business Objects currently has a restriction of 80 characters for node element default values. So at this point, all values longer than that will be truncated.

Currently, this is the expected system behavior. The SAP Business ByDesign does not support more than 80 characters as Default Value.
