3460893 - When opening SAP BTP via a custom Platform Identity Provider: "OpenID provider cannot process the request because the configuration is incorrect. Please contact your system administrator."

Symptom

When accessing the SAP BTP cockpit via a newly configured Platform Identity Provider, the following error appears in the browser:

OpenID provider cannot process the request because the configuration is incorrect. Please contact your system administrator.

In the Identity Authentication tenant's Troubleshooting Logs, the following entry can be seen:

OIDC login failed: Unknown client. Correlation ID: <correlation_id>
