3460896 - The amount of data requested is too large. Add filter or remove drilldown feature error happens when loading less than the limitation data in SAC BW job

Symptom

When loading about 950,000 rows 10 columns data in SAC import job with BW connection, the below error happens:

The amount of data requested is too large. Add filter or remove drilldown feature.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.2.21

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC tenant .
  2. Go to BW import model - data management.
  3. Refresh the .
  4. The error The amount of data requested is too large. Add filter or remove drilldown feature  will happen after 10 mins.

Cause

This is a By Design behavior before cloud agent 1.0.391.
In this case, the CDS view has the processing effort annotation set to high, which corresponds to 1,000,000 rows, after which processing fails with message BRAIN_DEV-135.
OLAP efforts for import from BW are supported by SAC agents since version 1.0.391.

Resolution

Upgrade the cloud agent to latest version.
