3461444 - >IDCODICE< field does not accept letters in Italy eInvoice xml

Symptom

>IDCODICE< field different than expected in XML from eDocument Cockpit app

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access eDocument Cockpit app
  2. Select the Related document
  3. Go To > Display XML file

Cause

Expected behavior.

Resolution

The tag >IdCodice< field is usually filled only with numerical part of the VAT number, because the Country Code is populated in >IdPaese< field. In case you would like to fill the IdCodice with full VAT number 'EL111111111' than is possible changing it with Custom Code using BAdI Italy: XML File Filling.
