Symptom

  • Connection from Client workstation running Analysis for Office to SAP Business Warehous fails 
  • Single Sign on for SAPGUI using SAP Single Sign On 3.0 is configured on both workstation and ABAP System
  • client side trace for the connection gives the error 
          | PING Exception [BW_XXX]: SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcCommunicationException: 
             LOCATION    CPIC (TCP/IP) with Unicode
             ERROR       GSS-API(maj): Miscellaneous failure
             GSS-API(min): A2200223:Peer certificate path not trusted
