Symptom

This is a Hub KBA documenting various problems with the creation and administration of SDI remote sources in HANA Studio. Problems that may be experienced are, but not limited to:

  • Unable to change/save remote source configuration changes.
  • Wrong parameters are saved for remote source configuration.
  • Blank parameters are saved for remote source configuration.
  • Unable to change location from "indexserver" (and that is the only option displayed).
  • A different adapter's information is expected/saved and error message is thrown.
  • Error "DBTech JDBC: [474]: Invalid adapter name: Not expected adapter name: rserve."
