3461909 - It is not possible to restrain Crossboarding to be initiated only from Recruiting Management - Onboarding

Symptom

  • Is there a way to restrain Crossboarding to be initiated only from Recruiting Management? 
  • Candidates from Employee Central should not trigger Crossboarding activity.
  • An administrator wants to prevent EC-initiated events from triggering Crossboarding activities.

Resolution

It is only possible to trigger or not based on event reasons. So if there are different sets of event reasons used specifically for EC candidates and a specific set of event reasons for candidates from RCM, this will be the base to trigger or not from the EC side.

  1. Identify event reasons for EC-initiated transfers (e.g., TRANSFER, PROMO)
  2. Identify event reasons for RCM-initiated internal hires
  3. Exclude EC-specific event reasons from the trigger
  4. Verification:
    • Initiate EC transfer with excluded event reason → confirm Crossboarding not triggered
    • Initiate from RCM with included event reason → confirm triggered.
