3462637 - Time Sheet is not opening through Performance form Block Link to Time Management EP portlet

Symptom

When clicking on "Go to Time Sheet" in Performance form Block Link, that is linking to Time Management EP Portlet (block type: TIME_OFF) following error is displayed:

"Sorry, either you are not authorised to view time sheet data or this user does not exist"

Time Sheet can be accessed by the same user via Employee Profile - Time Management portlet.

Affected object is an MDF object, that is supported in PM as per KBA 2384502 - Configuring Block Links in PM Forms - Performance Management - SAP for Me.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure Block Link to Time Management EP portlet in Performance form template as per KBA 2384502 - Configuring Block Links in PM Forms - Performance Management - SAP for Me 
  2. Launch a form from this template
  3. Go to Performance Inbox
  4. Open affected form
  5. Go to the section where Block Link is configured
  6. Click on the link > Time Management portlet will be displayed
  7. Click on Go to Time Sheet link
  8. See error message: "Sorry, either you are not authorised to view time sheet data or this user does not exist"

Cause

User ID is not bound to the User model if the Time Sheet link is accessed via PM form, hence user is triggered as undefined.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2024 release (b2411).
