3463322 - Secondary Assignment/Concurrent employment getting created for rehired user via Hire Date correction tool

When updating the hire date in the past for an already rehired user with new employment via Hire Date correction tool, Secondary Assignment/Concurrent employment getting created.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Secondary Assignment/Concurrent Employment

1. Find an active test user with only one assignment.
2. Terminate user on XXX date for example: Jan 1, 2024.
3. Rehire user with new employment with effective date in the past for example: Apr 1, 2024.
4. Check secondary assignment via manage data -> no records created.
5. Go to Recruit Date Correction/Hire date correction -> change start date to past date ie Apr 4, 2024 -> Save.
6. Check secondary assignment via manage data -> new employment has been set up as concurrent employment.

PS: hire date which you are updating should be in past to observe the behavior.

• Our Engineering team has fixed the issue via patch on Aug 13th in preview and Aug 15th in production.
