3463490 - Transaction Currency cannot be changed in the Post General Journal Entries app - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When opening the Post General Journal Entries app, the Transaction Currency field is set to the default currency and cannot be changed.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Post General Journal Entries app.
  2. Create a new journal entry.
  3. Observe that the Transaction Currency field is pre-filled with the default currency and cannot be modified.

Cause

Check in the Edit Options for Journal Entries app if the Doc. in Local Crcy option has been set.

Resolution

  1. Open the app Edit Options for Journal Entries
  2. Uncheck the field Doc in Local Crcy. Select this option to restrict journal entry input to local currency only. Fields required for foreign currency journal entries are not shown when this option is active.
