3463527 - Production Order Not Displayed in Process Flow of Manage Sales Quotations – Version 2 in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The production order is not displayed in the Process Flow of the Manage Sales Quotations – Version 2 app.

This behavior is also observed in the previous Manage Sales Quotations app when the production order originates from a sales order that was created with reference to a sales quotation.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a sales quotation using the Manage Sales Quotations – Version 2 app and note the quotation ID.
2. Use Create Subsequent Order to generate a follow-up sales order from the quotation.
3. Open the Monitor External Requirements – New Version app.
   • Locate the requirement generated from the sales order.
   • Select the requirement and choose Manage Items.
   • Trigger Start MRP Run.
   • A planned order is created and displayed in the Stock/Requirements List.
4. In the Actions column of the planned order, select Convert to create a production order.
5. Return to the Manage Sales Quotations – Version 2 app.
   • Open the quotation created in Step 1.
   • Check the Process Flow.
   • The production order is not displayed.
6. For comparison, create a sales order directly (without reference to a quotation) using the Manage Sales Orders – Version 2 app.
7. Repeat Steps 3–4 using this sales order.
8. Open the Process Flow of the new sales order.
   • The production order is displayed correctly as a follow-up document.

This is standard system behavior.

Based on the current product design, production orders are not shown in the Process Flow of sales quotations, including both:

• Manage Sales Quotations – Version 2, and
• The previous Manage Sales Quotations app.

Currently, it is not possible to display production orders in the Process Flow of sales quotations.

If this functionality is required, you may submit an enhancement request via the Customer Influence Portal.
The Product Management team will evaluate the request based on feasibility and customer demand.
