3463664 - How 'technically completed' date set for customer project revenue recognition scenario

Symptom

For customer project revenue recognition scenario, status of 'Completed' is set on purpose to clear all revenues.
Only the period contains/after TECO date can clear the revenue accordingly in period end closing.
Unable to figure out how the 'Technically Completed' date(TECO) is determined.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Change project status to 'completed' and revalue the project or run period end closing, the revenue can only be cleared in a specific period.
Calculation logic can be found via 'Revalue'->'Simulate'->'Explain Simulation' via APP 'Event Based Revenue Recognition - Projects',
information: Status 'technically completed' is active for date DD.MM.YYYY: deferrals and accruals will be cancelled.

Cause

Only the period contains/after TECO date can clear the revenue accordingly in period end closing.
Event Based Revenue Recognition(EBRR) closing considers the TECO status based on the date when the project is set to completed status by the user,
but not the project end date.

Kindly use another recognition key SPFCSC if considering TECO date be set according to the project end date.

Resolution

Kindly make sure that user change the status to 'completed' within the needed period, thus the revenue could be cleared accordingly in a expected period.
