3463679 - Internal error on Job Information Story Report

Symptom

Story report with Job Information schema is showing an internal error while executing it. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Reports Center
  2. Create a Story Report
  3. Add Job Information table
  4. Select the fields 
  5. Click on preview; error will be thrown
  6. Finish the report and try to run it; same error will be shown.

Cause

There is a Job Information field associated with a picklist with an invalid external code.

Resolution

  1. Check the Job Information fields on Succession Data Model or Manage Business Configuration
  2. Find the field associated with a picklist with special characters or spaces
  3. Go to Picklist Center and open this picklist
  4. Adjust the External Code ensuring that it is a single code without special characters.
