3463858 - SAC TAB : Undo does not bring back values in table after deleting values outside the table (SAC Table LOD-ANA-TAB)

Symptom

  • In Story 2.0 "Advance Mode", after deleting values outside the grid table and when using “Undo” action, it doesn't bring the values back.
  • Not applicable with charts. 

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2023.21.16

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new Story in Optimized View Mode. 
  2. Create a new table, enable the grid mode. 
  3. Add a new column. Add a value in a cell, ex: 100.
  4. Delete the value. 
  5. Click on the "Undo" button or Control + Z. 
  6. The value, 100, is not in the cell as expected

Cause

"Undo" functionality does not work, when delete/backspace key is pressed on a custom cell.
This is because, when delete/backspace is pressed, clearCells is called, and here the undo/redo functionality is missing.

Please note that clearCells is an internal backend function that is triggered when the delete action is executed

Resolution

The fix will be included in the next QRC 2 of 2024.
