The Execution status of the Actual Cost Release Run remains 'In Process'.

You encounter an error message "Please try resuming your work. If you still face issues, report an incident" in the Actual Cost Release Run.

SAP Business ByDesign

• Go to Inventory Valuation Work Center.
• Go to Actual Cost Release view.
• Select All Actual Cost Release Runs from the dropdown and search for the run ID xxx (xxx is the Actual Cost Release Run ID).
• Click on the Execution ID with the Execution Status 'In Process' and navigate to the Messages tab. 
• An error message "Please try resuming your work. If you still face issues, report an incident" is displayed.

  Checking the Run Jobs for error details:

  • Click on View jobs and select the Run Jobs from the dropdown. In the Error Description "Cancelled manually or by the system" error is displayed. Now click on View Job Log and you will see the details below:
    Job started
    Step 001 started (program SAP_MDRI_REPORT, variant , user ID aaa, where aaa is the User ID)
    MDRO: FIA_MAT_COST_EST_RELEASE_RUN (420, abc where abc is the Run ID)

The error "Error when closing PPF: Critical (system) failure during error remote call" is because of the huge amount of data that is being processed.

One possibility to discard this error is executing the run outside the business hours. 
The other solution is that, while selecting the parameters in the 'Selection Criteria' of the Run, you have to select only a specific range of Materials along with the Product Category that you expect to be processed by the run.
