Symptom
The system is not selecting Source Logistics Area automatically within the Site A. If you click Source Logistics Area in the relevant Task, you can see there are two logistics areas available with sufficient quantities.
The function is working for all the Logistics Areas from the Sites B and C are populated automatically to respective pick task (you can refer pick task 102872).
(A, B and C represent the Site ID).
Environment
Product version: SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
- Go to the Task Control view.
- Find and select the relevant Task ID.
- Click Confirm.
- You can see the Source Logistics Area field is empty for all Line Items.
- If you click on the Source Logistics Area ID value selector for Line Item 1 for example, you can see there are multiple logistics areas available with sufficient quantities, but the system has not proposed any of them automatically.
Cause
The referred Storage Location is included in the Sequence ID of the Material Flow of Site: B. Also, the Line Number are sequential and do not have same priority. In Site: A, the relevant the Locations are missing. Also, the Line Number assigned to all included Location is: 1. This means all have same priority.
Resolution
I recommend you to maintain the Material Flow same as for the Site where the Source Logistics Areas are being proposed.
