3463990 - Migrate SAP Analytics Cloud Cloud Foundry (CF) tenant across landscapes *** Master KBA ***

Symptom

  • To move your SAP Analytics Cloud CF tenant from its current datacenter to a new one, we will internally be migrating your tenant
  • You will get a new tenant with URL changed according to the datacenter the tenant is migrated to

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud - Cloud Foundry tenant

Cause

This migration of tenants will secure continued access to your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant, so you can experience all the upcoming product updates planned for future releases.

Resolution

System Administrators are required to take action as below:

Authentication

If your tenant has a custom IdP enabled, System Administrators are required to take action as below:

    • If the system owner has left the company or is unable to transfer the role before migration date, please contact your SAP Account Manager (or CEE) as soon as possible to have system ownership changed to someone else in the organization before migration date.

    • After migration, to be able to access the SAP Analytics Cloud instance properly, please update the SAC metadata into your custom IdP by following there steps:
      1. Navigate to the IDP admin Console with S-user that has the same email address as the system owner (refer to SAC Help guide)
      2. Click on the application and download the service provider metadata file.
      3. Upload this service provider metadata file in the same application to your custom IDP (SAP IAS, Azure etc..).
      4. Now it should be possible again to access SAP Analytics Cloud.

Subaccount for Import Data connection and Live Tunnel connection

New SAC tenant will receive a new subaccount after migration and will require to re-establish Cloud Connector setup.

    1. Go to the Self-Service UI in SAP Analytics Cloud (System > Administration > Datasource Configuration). Click Edit. Input S-User then click Change S-User.
This step is always required even if it appears that the S-USER has already added.
    2. Go to Cloud Connector. Click Add Subaccount and use information provided in Self-Service UI.
    3. After successful connection creation, click Cloud To On-Premise to configure Access Control. Click Import System setting button. Change Source to Subaccount then pick the subaccount prior to migration. Then complete Import; this will copy all mappings from one subaccount to current subaccount.
    4. Repeat the procedure if you have setup Multi-Location Cloud Connector.

Please Note: If your Cloud Connector is behind a strict firewall, you will need to reconfigure IP restrictions.
