Symptom

General users experiencing issue when viewing their own Organization Info on their Public Profile -> Spotlight view. The error 404 message “Looks like something went wrong. Please try again. If the issue persists, contact your system administrator.”

When they navigate to Full Profile, they can view their organization information without issues.

Environment

SAP Success Factors Employee Profile 1H2024 (2405)

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to instance.
  2. Proxy as user X.
  3. Navigate to “Public Profile” and observe error 404 message in the Organization block. “Looks like something went wrong. Please try again. If the issue persists, contact your system administrator.”
  5. Click to Full Profile -> Employment Information -> Organization Information. Observe no issues with visibility of Organization Information.
  6. The users have full permissions to the Organization:
  • company
  • business-unit
  • division
  • department

They can see these fields on the full profile.

Resolution

To Resolve this issue. Please make sure user has permission  on Employee data -> employment details-> Employment Details MSS. Graniting this permission will resolve the issue.
