Symptom
Number of rejected rows does not match with the rows in the rejection summary in SAC.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SAC.
- Open the model.
- Go to Data Management.
- Select import job.
- Search for the job for which rows have been rejected.
- Download the rejection summary.
Notice that the number of rows rejected does not match with the rows in the downloaded CSV file.
Cause
Product behavior.
Resolution
The records count information inside the rejection csv file does not always match the total rejection count. Reject files are not intended to reconcile the number of rejected rows; instead, their primary function is to inform the user of the reason(s) for rejection so that the user may take appropriate action.
