3464186 - Spotlight Displays Badges and Work Experience section when viewing your own Profile when it is not configured to show 1H 2024

When viewing their own Public Profile, in the Spotlight view, The Badges and/or Work Experience Cards are showing when they are not configured to show. 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 

1. Login or Proxy as a user 
2. Navigate to their Public Profile 
3. In the Spotlight view notice the Badges and/or Work Experience Cards are showing when they are not configured to show. 

This is expected system behaviour for Work Experience cards. There is no central place to turn on/off of this feature. It's with 2405 by default.

Regarding the Badges, the Engineering team are working on a fix.

Please review the two points below for updates on the individual fixes: 

• Work Experience:
  • The card will be hidden if the logged in user is viewing someone else Spotlight. But when it is the logged in user viewing their own profile, then we still show the card with no data. This is supposed to promote an 'action' to the user so they can add the data.
  • If login user has view permission of  insideWorkExperience  and(or) outsideWorkExperience , but there is no data record, the login user won't see the card, but the owner will see the empty card. 

• Badges: Our engineering team are working on a fix for this issue. Which is confirmed for the 2H 2024 Release.
