3464192 - When using Horizon, admin pop-ups are too small to show all available fields/buttons

Symptom

When adding contents to Items or Curricula, or adding users to Classes, or scheduling a background job, etc. (that is, wherever the UI opens a pop-up within Learning Administration), these pop-ups require admins to roll scrolling bars up/down and/or to the right/left to access all available fields/buttons, or the admin needs to expand the pop-up box to be able to see all fields/buttons without having to scroll it.

Resolution

The scenario was reported to our Engineering team, and our Product Management and LMS UI Engineers acknowledged these UI concerns. They are already working on enhancing the Learning Administration pages when Horizon is enabled.

Currently, there is no timeline on when the change will be applied, since it's considered an enhancements to the product.

In the meantime, as a workaround, it's possible to disable the Horizon theme for Learning Administration pages:

  1. At Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration >
  2. Open LMS_ADMIN in the edit mode >
  3. Set adminFioriHorizonEnabled=false > hit 'Apply Changes'.
