3464210 - Learning BEST PRACTICES Configuration FAQ

With the 1H 2024 release, a BEST PRACTICES configuration in System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration can be seen. This article will aim to answer frequent questions raised on the configuration.

• Where can information on the BEST PRACTICES configuration be found?
  • While the configuration is currently visible, it's not yet ready to be used. When it's fully available this guide will be updated.
• What would be the process to use this configuration?
  • The configuration should not be modified unless instructed directly by the Best Practices team. When the feature is fully available, there will be an upgrade in Upgrade Center to start the process.
• As the automated option is not available, what is the guide for?
  • It provides the best practices and configurations for setting up a Learning tenant via a manual process.
• What does the Upgrade Center job do?
  • It will apply configurations and create different entities in the system.
• Will it overwrite current values?
  • The Upgrade Center job is only to be used on newly provisioned tenants. The job will revert if it finds data/configurations in the Learning system hence it will not overwrite existing data.
• If there are issues with Learning Best Practices such as the Upgrade Center job or documentation, whom do I contact?
  • Please create a case in the LOD-SF-SBP component.
