3464354 - Manual Customer Creation for Workforce Person

Symptom

For business reasons you’ve chosen to deviate from SAP’s standard processes and not include payment information in your workforce data. This means a customer is not created automatically and needs to be created manually.

This KBA is intended only for the customers for whom customer creation does not happen as part of standard workforce person replication due to deviation from the standard processes.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Resolution

This KBA provides a solution to create customers manually. For step-by-step instructions on manual customer creation, please see the attached document. For example, if the company wants to sell devices, such as laptops, phones, or notepads, the Customer role needs to be added manually to the Employment BP.

If you try to create it on Employee BP, it creates inconsistency in the system and hence it is not allowed from SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402 release.

Note: We recommend that you do not create customer roles manually.
