The fields "Deductions, Adjustments, and Additional Income Worksheet" and "Personal Allowances Worksheet" in South Carolina State Withholding Form SC W4 are greyed out and not editable.

• The fields are dependent on the information in the United States Federal Form W4.

• South Carolina State Withholding Form SC W4 will remain Locked until United States Federal Form W4 is completed.

• Only when we select No in the question Are you going to "Exempt from Withholding?" under Filing Status

• And fill the information in Step 3: Claim Dependent and Other Credits

• Only after these steps are taken that a Claim Benefit  will appear

• And the Deduction Worksheet will appear

• In the Deduction Worksheet, Line 2 Deduction based on marital Status $ is the value that will appear in South Carolina State Withholding Form SC W4.

• The values can be updated in United States Federal Form W4 Worksheet and will reflect on South Carolina State Withholding Form SC W4.
• The values from the United States Federal Form W4 will only appear in the South Carolina State Withholding Form SC W4 if:

- We select No in "I claim exemption from withholding for 2024. Check the box for the exemption reason and write Exempt on line 7"

• When you click in "Deductions, Adjustments and Additional Income Worksheet" he value from United States Federal Form W4 will appear:
