3464773 - Logon to CMC gives a HTTP 500 error on Unix IPS / DS systems

Symptom

On a DataServices and IPS environment on unix or linux OS, login to CMC fails with a HTTP 500 error.

  1. Login to CMC (used by data services) gives this HTTP 500 error
Caused by: java.security.spec.InvalidKeySpecException: java.security.InvalidKeyException: Error [0xa0100000]: A function called indirectly got an invalid parameter
    at com.sap.commoncryptolib.provider.KeyFactoryEC.engineGeneratePublic(Unknown Source)
    at java.security.KeyFactory.generatePublic(KeyFactory.java:328)
    at com.businessobjects.bcm.internal.ECDHKeyAgreeImpl.getSharedSecret(ECDHKeyAgreeImpl.java:264)
    ... 17 more

    at com.sap.commoncryptolib.provider.CCLPublicKey.jniNew(Native Method)

  2. Using the CCM login (via serverconfig script), list servers is possible.
  3. On list servers, while C++ processes like the CMS and FRSs are running fine, the java processes like APS and AJS are running with errors.
  4. Repairing the Node fixes this problem - but upon restart services (startservers), the same login problem is back.
  5. Cannot login thru CMC, or anything java specific (eg create another node or addnode). But server config login and list servers works.
