3465225 - The display of the unit / currency / scale is inconsistent while selecting different measures in the table in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

In the SAC story, if all members of the input control are selected, the table presents the data with the correct unit or currency shown in each data cell. However, when only a few members are selected in the input control, the values are shown in the table cells without the unit or currency.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the story
  2. Change the input control of the table
  3. Select one or more members, the values are displayed without measurement units
  4. Choose all members in the input control, the measurement units in all value are displayed

Cause

The behavior is as designed:

  • When more than one unit/currency/scale (different) is displayed in the table, it is shown in each cell by default.
  • However, when only one unit/currency/scale (same) is displayed, by default the unit/currency is shown in the Table’s Subtitle. In this case, if it is expected to be shown in each cell, please refer to the Resolution part of this KBA.

Resolution

If is necessary to see the unit/currency/scale in each cell then:

  1. Go to the Styling Panel
  2. Under Number Format section, select Cells for “Display Unit/Currencies”
