3465319 - "Unable to fetch form data" error is received when completing some of the SWH tax forms due to disabled 'area-code' field - Onboarding

• Some Onboardees are unable to complete their Compliance SWH Tax forms due to the 'Unable to fetch form data' error.
• The 'area-code' field is not enabled in Manage Business Configuration > phoneInfo data model, as a result, some onboardees are receiving the 'Unable to fetch form data' error.
• The client doesn't want to use the 'area-code' field, hence, did not enable in the Manage Business Configuration > phoneInfo data model, and is causing candidates to receive the 'Unable to fetch form data' error.
• Client has configured an override field for SWH forms for skipping the 'area-code' field same way how it can be overridden for US I-9, but it is not working.
• Override field for phoneInfo works for US I-9 but is not working for SWH forms.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Do not enable the 'area-code' field in phoneInfo data model.

3. Login as the candidate
4. Try to access and complete the Massachusetts or Pennsylvania SWH task
5. The 'Unable to fetch form data' error appears

The system is working as designed.

• Upon confirmation from the Onboarding Product Management Team, US I9 and other US compliance forms follow distinct procedures.
• What applies to US I9 as described in KBA 3295534 may not necessarily apply to US_SWH forms.

This is the system's working behavior, and if the business requirement involves omitting the Phone number field 'area-code', you can enable the field through the Manage Business Configuration page and proceed with form submission. While data entry for the field is optional, enabling it is essential.
