3465607 - Texts in the customer master data are deleted automatically

Symptom

Texts are getting deleted automatically in the customer master data.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Manage Business Partner Master Data App.
  2. Search relevant BP Id.
  3. Change the Display in BP role to customer.
  4. Navigate to the customer:texts.
  5. Here the maintained text is disappeared.

Cause

The cause for the issue is no change documents are written by default for customer texts.

Resolution

  • For the customer text, no change documents are written by default. Hence there is no chance to find out what caused the text to be deleted.
  • The fact that change documents are usually not generated for performance reasons is documented in FAQ note 2515264 - Logging of tables STXH and STXL (the steps to activate in Public Cloud are not available).
