3465753 - Adding Goal in Performance Form Does Not Show Goal After 'Create Goal Successful' Confirmation

Symptom

After receiving confirmation that a goal has successfully been created in a performance form, the goal does not show on the form.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Planning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to instance and navigate to Performance Tab, open the form
  2. Click on Add Goal > Select Create from library
  3. Select a goal
  4. Select Next > Next > Save
  5. "Create goal successful" is shown but the goal is not added to the form

Cause

This is a known issue where the goal category doesn't match correctly. For example, a performance form goal section is set to category A. However, category C is the default category in the goal plan. When creating the goal from the library, the system is trying to pull in category C (default from goal plan) instead of category A (default performance form goal section).

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2024 release (b2411).

For release timelines, please review SAP SuccessFactors Product Release & Road Map Information.

Workaround

Manually select the correct category in Step 2: Edit Goals
