3465865 - DSConnectionManager is unable to create ODBC connection to SAP IQ - SAP Data Services 4.x

Symptom

  • testConnection: run '/opt/sap/dataservices/utilities/UNIXDBDriverManager/scripts/connection_test.sh -S'<DSN name>' -U'XXXXX' -P'***' -N'SYBASE IQ' -testrepo'
    (14.3) CON-120301: Initialization
  • Database connection failed to allocate HENV, required to perform any ODBC operation.
  • This usually occurs due to insufficient memory.
  • testConnection: failure output ''
    ERROR: connection test failed!
  • Running the test connection through UNIX ODBC Manager results in the following error:
    isql <DSN name> <username> <password> -v
    [IM004][unixODBC][Driver Manager]Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_HENV failed
    [ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect
