Symptom

On testing the new enhancement TIM-41237 Time Off Enhancements in the New People Profile, the Out-of-office information is not shown in:

  • Profile Preview
  • Spotlight
  • Org Chart
  • Position Org chart quick cards etc.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Company System and Logo Settings, "Enable the latest People Profile" is enabled.
  2. Search for an employee who had time off as of today.
  3. The Out-of-office information is not displayed in
    • Profile Preview
    • Spotlight
    • Org Chart
    • Position Org chart Quick card etc.

Cause

The feature is not available if you are using Time Off for Leave of Absence (LOA) only.

Resolution

  • In Admin Center -> Manage Employee Central Settings if both "Time Off" & "Time Off for Leave of Absence Only" are enabled, then it's a Leave of absence(LOA) only instance.
  • For LOA only instance, the Out-of-office information is not displayed even if latest People Profile is enabled.
  • This is as per design, because the Out-of-office information feature requires 'Work Schedule' and 'Holiday calendar' information. For LOA only instance(s), employees do not have 'Work Schedule' or 'Holiday calendar'.
