3466444 - "Immediate" update mode not available for Data Products in SAP Datasphere

Symptom

My Data Products (Consumer): Users are not able to see "Immediate" update mode while installing a 'Full' delivery mode data product or reinitializing the installed 'Full' delivery mode data products.

Users are not able to install products with "Immediate" update, hence they won't get immediate updates of data when provider modifies it.

Existing installations with "Manual" update mode can't be changed to "Immediate" for wave version 2024.10.

Possible Workaround: 

  • Users can still fetch the new updates of data by updating their installation using following steps,
    • Visit 'My Data Products'
    • Click on 'Updates' tab and Find the installation row
    • Click on 'Update' button from last column of the row
  • From marketplace version 2024.11, "Immediate" update mode can be selected again
