Symptom
User created Service order and set to release but purchase request ID and purchase order ID generation is pending.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
1. Go to Service Order WorkCenter
2. Navigate to New Service Order View
3. Fill Details and Save
4. Select Service Order ID
5. Choose Edit
6. Select Submit and Choose Release to Service Execution from drop down.
Once service order is released Purchase Request ID and Purchase Order ID will be automatically created which is not happening here.
Cause
Organizational unit to which Employee belong to is excluded for the operational purchasing in organizational work distribution.
Resolution
Steps to check excluded org units,
- Go to Organizational management workcenter
- Go to Organizational Work Distribution View
- Navigate to Work category "Business Area: Purchasing"
- Select Operational Purchasing
- Choose Show Excluded Org Units
- User can find the List of Excluded Org Units.
Follow below steps to include the Org Units mentioned in "Excluded Org Units" list ,
- Go to Organizational management workcenter
- Go to Organizational Work Distribution View
- Navigate to Work category "Business Area: Purchasing"
- Select Operational Purchasing
- Choose Edit
- Select Add Rule
- Enter Org Unit ID shown in "Excluded Org Units"
- Select Save and Close
Once all the org Units shown in Excluded list are included in Work category "Business Area :Purchasing" , User can Run a new Test so that Purchase Order ID and Purchase Request ID will be automatically generated after Service Order is created and released.
