This article explains how to hide numeric value in overall score pod while show numeric value in goal/comp sections.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance

If configure show-value="false" for goal/comp sections, the rating is displayed as a dropdown list. Some customers may want to retain the stars/circle rating type for these sections while hide numeric value in overall score pod.

In order to achieve this effect, in form template xml., you can configure show-value="false" under  <fm-meta> section only, and configure show-value="true" in all other sections.

But please note that if the overall rating does not exactly match the value of rating scale of the form, it will still display the numeric value, instead of label. For example, rating scale configured for the form is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 but the final overall rating is 3.14, which does not exactly match the value of rating scale. In this case, 3.14 will still display on the overall score pod despite the above configurations.
