3467336 - User Permissions for Organization Block in Spotlight and EP - 1H 2024

Discrepancy in the Organization Block permissions between Spotlight and Employee Profile (EP). Despite users having access to the Legal Entity, Division, Business Unit, and Department, they can't view organization information via Spotlight. Even after granting all necessary permissions as per the guide:

       • Entity-level: View Current permission for Job Information Actions
       • Field-level: View Current permission for Company, Business Unit, Division, and Department fields

Additionally, the Employees(all) have a permission role that is set to target all users, yet they can't view each other’s Organization Spotlight.

SAP Success Factors Employee Profile 2405

1. Log into SF instance.
2. Go to Manage Permission Roles: Permission Role for Employees viewing other Employees' information: check that the role has view current permission for Legal Entity, Division, Business Unit and Department.
3. Proxy as Employee A, go to Employee B’s Spotlight -> No Organization block nor information.
4. Continue to Employee B’s full profile -> Organization block and fields (Legal Entity, Division, Business Unit and Department) are all visible.

This issue occurs if user has permission under category "Employee Center API" permission Employee Central HRIS OData API (read-only) is granted. End user do not require any permission under "Employee Center API".  

Removing permission "Employee Central HRIS OData API (read-only)" will resolve the issue.
