Symptom
When attempting to save a new goal, receive an error:
Cannot invoke "com.successfactors.gm.bean.ObjTemplateBean$TableColumn.getLabel()" because the return value of "com.successfactors.gm.bean.ObjTemplateBean$Field.getTableColumn(String)" is null
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to SuccessFactors
- Navigate to Home dropdown > Goals
- Select a goal plan
- Select Create Goal
- Select any option
- Select a goal(s) > Next
- If applicable, edit the goal(s) > Next
- Select Save
- Receive error
Cause
The metric lookup table has unsupported fields
Resolution
The goal plan can be adjusted so there are only supported fields from Implementing and Managing Goal Management - Comparison Table of Elements and Attributes.
As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. Please engage a Certified Partner to assist with this configuration. If you do not have a Certified Partner, you can look for one using SAP Professional Services / SAP Certified Partner / SAP Account Management Team [SuccessFactors Cloud].
