3467906 - SocketConnector.read error when configuring Data Provisioning Agent to connect to the SAP HANA database of SAP Datasphere

While configuring the Data Provisioning Agent to connect to the underlying SAP HANA database of SAP Datasphere, an error is received during the connection to the HANA database.

The DP Agent Configuration Tool (command-line interface) is used to configure the DP Agent for this connection.

The connection option 4: "Connect to SAP HANA Server via HTTP" is chosen during the configuration.

Following this, the DP Agent Configuration Tool fails on the step:

Connecting to HANA server on cloud:

[ERROR] DPFramework | SocketConnector.read [] - An error occurred  while opening a HTTPS connection to URL: https://d8227981-1116-4cbf-bb08-7d7a114f7f85.hana.prod br10.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443
Context: Unexpected end of file from server
Failed to connect to SAP HANA server on cloud.

Connection option chosen in the DP Agent Configuration Tool is incorrect.

For connecting DP Agent to Datasphere, choose below option in the DP Agent Configuration Tool, per Connect and Configure the Data Provisioning Agent | SAP Help Portal :
