Symptom
Column changed via Open SQL in Local Table cannot be transported in SAP Datasphere.
Environment
SAP Datasphere
Reproducing the Issue
- In Datasphere source tenant, go to Database explorer of HANA Cloud Database.
- Add column via SQL. For example: ALTER TABLE xxx ADD (yyy);
- In Datasphere source tenant, refresh the local table. Find that able to see the added column.
- Export this local table from Datasphere source tenant and import to Datasphere target tenant.
- In Datasphere target tenant, open the local table. Find that able to see the added column.
- In Datasphere source tenant, go to Database explorer of HANA Cloud Database and check the table. Cannot see the column in Database side.
Cause
Currently, open SQL schema-based tables cannot be transported.
Resolution
- This is a new feature request for SAP Datasphere and there is already such request in Datasphere influence channel. See Improvement Request 315789 - Customer Influence.
