3468637 - The value for Email Information fields are evaluated as "Null" in rule trace on hiring contingent worker - CS1H2024.

Symptom

A business rule on "Email Information" block is triggered twice and fields are evaluated with "Null" value when rule is executed for second time in rule trace on Add Contingent Worker UI if centralized service switch "Enable Centralized Services to Add Contingent Worker and Add Assignment” is enabled in company system and logo settings". 

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Make sure centralized service switch “Enable Centralized Services to Add Contingent Worker and Add Assignment” is enabled in company system and logo settings.
  2. Configure business rule “Rule A” with base object: 'Employee Information model' to raise error message.
  3. Search for Add Contingent Worker.
  4. Navigate to Email Information.
  5. Add Email Address details.
  6. Fill all the required details.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. Error is shown.
  9. In rule trace, rule is executed twice and email address is evaluated as “Null”.

Resolution

  • Our engineering team is currently working on a fix for this issue.
  • This KBA will be updated once there are further details on the fix.
  • Workaround: Disable "Enable Centralized Services to Add Contingent Worker and Add Assignment” is enabled in company system and logo settings. " from Company System and Logo Settings. Please don't forget to re-enable the Centralized Services switches after the issue is fixed so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of Centralized Services
