3468736 - Error Updating Hire Workflow for a Concurrent Employment as "You cannot rehire employees before they leave"

When a Concurrent Employment Hire transaction is submitted for workflow approval, upon clicking on update workflow the system shows the error as "You cannot rehire employees before they leave". 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Submit a Concurrent Employment Hire transaction via "Add Assignment" in an existing Active Contingent Worker Profile.
2. Fill in all the necessary details and submit.
3. Transaction is routed via Workflow to the assigned approver. 
4. When the approver clicks "Update" in the Workflow Details page, it takes the approver to the Concurrent Employment Hire UI.
5. In the same, click "Continue" and the error appears as "You cannot rehire employees before they leave".

This issue will be fixed in b2411 release. 

Workaround 

In the meanwhile, we would request the customer to ensure that the Initiator of the workflow to do all the necessary changes and the next processor to directly approve the workflow. In case there are some changes necessary, the approver can send the workflow request back to the Initiator. This can be considered as an interim approach before b2411 release is available.
