3468840 - 0 communication Idocs generated for CLFMAS Message type

Symptom

  • When generating IDocs for a message type (for example, CLFMAS, DOCMAS, or other master data message types), the following messages are displayed:

    1. X master IDoc(s) set up for message type <message type>
    2. 0 communication IDoc(s) generated for message type <message type>

          or

    • 0 communication IDocs generated for <message type>
  • Additional observations may include:

    • No communication IDocs are created although master IDocs are selected successfully.
    • The issue occurs only in one system (for example, Production), while the same configuration works correctly in Development or Quality systems.
    • Partner profiles (WE20) and the Distribution Model (BD64) are maintained correctly.
    • No IDocs are generated although the relevant business object was created or changed.
    • No entries are created in table BDCP2 after changes to the business object.
    • Reports such as RBDMIDOC or application-specific generation programs complete successfully but generate no communication IDocs.
    • The issue affects message types that rely on Change Pointer processing, such as CLFMAS, DOCMAS, and similar master data distribution scenarios.
