Symptom

  • Date filter does not display in filter list for changing story filter when creating schedule a publication in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Create classic or optimized story based on model.
  3. Add story filter for date dimension.
  4. Select filter by range.
  5. For the current Date area, select create current Date Input control, give it a name as "Month", in Granularity area, select Month.
  6. Add another story filter to dimension Sales Manager, select member for the filter value.
  7. Save the story and go to view mode.
  8. Go to File-->Select Schedule Publication.
  9. In the Distribution area,  under Story View, we can see the option Change story filter.
    ==>Notice that only filter for Sales Manager can be selected, the filter of Month is not there.

Cause

  • By Design.

  • Only dimension type filters by ID or by Description are supported. Measure type filters and range filters that are applied to the stories are however not supported while creating a scheduled publication.

Resolution

  • Create enhancement request follow KBA below:
